A treasurer handles somebody else’s money. I am going to examine the treasurer in the natural and treasurer in the spiritual

Proverbs 10:15:

“The rich man’s wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.”

Poverty is an enemy. Poverty is destruction. There are many Christians who believe that once you are a child of God, you can not be rich. I do not want to be poor. My God is a rich God. God wants you to be the treasurer of His money, not of your money. If you are a good steward, God will give you more.

You must be a good steward of God’s money.

When God called Abraham in Gen. 12:3, He did not only say He would bless him, He also said He would make him a blessing. The Lord blessed Abraham and he was very rich. Many think that rich people cannot serve God. This is not true. God loves rich people. Abraham, Isaac and Job were rich yet they served God.

What do we mean by being rich? It means you have everything you need. You have money for any emergency and enough to bless somebody. ”

Deuteronomy 8:18:

But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”

God gives you power to get wealth. Proverbs 10:22 says:

“The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”

1 Timothy 6:17:

“Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;”

Because I will serve God, I will have money. Because I bow down to worship God, He will give me the desires of my heart. God is a faithful God. If you will be faithful, God will bless you. You must give your tithe (Malachi 3:10.)

2 Corinthians 4:7:

“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

What is this Treasure?

It is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit lives inside me. The gift of the Holy Spirit lives inside me. The word of God is inside me. I am supposed to be a good treasurer of these spiritual things inside me. Let me tell you about some of these spiritual things.

1 Corinthians 12 talks about nine gifts of the Holy Spirit. We have tongues, interpretation of tongues and prophecy and we use our mouth for these. Another set which reveals are word of knowledge, word of wisdom and discerning of spirits. The last group that does something fit includes faith, working of miracles and gift of healings. Whatever gift you have, use it for the glory of God, for God to bless you.

There are three things to do with the blessings of God in the natural,

(1) Pay your tithe. This is 10% of your income. It belongs to God. Give the tithe to the Lord.

(2) Give your offering. When do you give offering? After you give tithe, you give offering. Offerings do not have a particular percentage.

(3) Give to the poor. Find someone who is in more need than you are and give to that person and God will bless you because of that.

In the spiritual, you will do certain things with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Preach to remove bondage and destroy yokes ( Acts 10:38)

Luke 4:18:

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,”

Whatever you do for God, always remember that you must remove people’s burdens and destroy their yokes.

God does not want us to be poor. He wants us to be rich and prosperous. Ephesians 3:20:

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”

God is able and willing but His ability and His willingness works according to the power that is working inside you. If you do not let the power work inside you, things will not work for you. Jesus said according to your faith, let it be unto you. (Mark 10:46-52)

There is nothing but the word of God that works inside you. You need to find out the word of God, which covers your area of need and study them. You need to attend to the word of God everyday of your life. Romans 10:17 says:

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Luke 4:4:

“And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.”

Jesus said men shall not live by bread alone or by natural food alone but by the word of God. Why do you not get excited about the word of God?

Joshua 1:8:

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

You should have scriptures for every situation in your life. You should get a notebook and write down the scriptures regarding salvation, healings, finances, peace, about your husband, about your wife, about your children, about your house, about your job and about your ministry. You should have all these things inside you so that when the enemy comes, you do not have to think about it. It just comes out. Do you know some of us do not even know it is the will of God for us to prosper? Psalm. 35:27 says:

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.”

God gets happy in blessing me

Luke 11:13:

“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?”

In order for me to ask Him, I must know the word of God and His will. Prosperity is the will of God for me, God does not want me to be poor He wants me to have enough money

2 Corinthians 9:7-8:

“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:”

This is the definition of prosperity. How do you get wealth according to the word that is inside you? You speak it and it will happen..
